Emergency Services

Memorial Hermann Healthcare System has eight acute care facilities with 24-hour emergency services. Of these facilities, Memorial Hermann Southeast is a Level III Trauma Center with Memorial Hermann Southwest and Memorial Hermann Northwest nearing the completion of work enabling their Level III state designation. In addition, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center’s Level I Trauma status carries the highest designation of an emergency care facility. Only two facilities in Houston carry this rating.

Memorial Hermann Emergency Centers stand ready to meet the needs of critically ill or injured patients- adults as well as children throughout southeast Texas. Memorial Hermann's close affiliation with The University of Texas  Medical School at Houston enables its emergency teams to draw on the expertise of specialists in many fields. Of these, emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurosurgery, transplantation, orthopedic surgery, neurology, cardiology, and pediatrics are some of the specialties offered.
